Application cases of photovoltaic EVA hot melt adhesive film encapsulating solar modules

In the production process of crystalline silicon solar modules, EVA hot melt adhesive film is used as the core packaging material and is placed between the glass, cells and backsheet. Take large-scale ground power stations in the northwest region as an example, where there is a large temperature difference between day and night and strong ultraviolet rays. After the components encapsulated with high-transparency EVA film undergo a vacuum lamination process, the film melts, flows and cross-links at about 145 degrees Celsius. The cells are firmly bonded and effectively block water vapor intrusion. The modules can still maintain high power output after running outdoors for more than 25 years.

In distributed rooftop photovoltaic projects, EVA film relies on its good flexibility and insulation properties to enable components to withstand thermal expansion, contraction and mechanical vibration in the roof environment, reducing the risk of cracks. The components used in agricultural photovoltaic complementary greenhouses take advantage of the uniform light transmission characteristics of EVA film, which not only ensures power generation efficiency, but also meets the lighting conditions required for crop growth. The Yuguang complementary water surface power station is encapsulated with anti-humidity and heat-resistant EVA film to resist the erosion of the cells in a high-humidity and high-salt-spray environment. In addition, in double-glass modules, the application of EVA and POE co-extruded composite film further improves the ability to resist potential-induced attenuation and provides guarantee for the long-term stable operation of the power station. These cases fully reflect the important value and broad prospects of EVA hot melt adhesive film in the field of photovoltaic packaging.
