Weather-resistant application of photovoltaic solar EVA in offshore photovoltaics

Offshore photovoltaic power stations face multiple environmental stresses such as high salt spray, high humidity and strong ultraviolet rays, which place stringent requirements on the weather resistance of EVA film. In the marine environment, the salt spray concentration is high and the water vapor permeability is strong. The standard EVA material is prone to hydrolysis reaction, causing the acetic acid group to fall off, causing yellowing and light transmittance attenuation, thereby reducing the power generation efficiency of the module. For such applications, high-performance EVA improves the flexibility of molecular segments by optimizing the copolymerization ratio of ethylene and vinyl acetate. At the same time, high-efficiency UV absorbers and antioxidants are added to effectively block UV radiation in the 290 to 400 nanometer band and delay the photooxidative aging process of polymer materials. Controlling the cross-linking degree between 85% and 92% can form a stable three-dimensional network structure, enhance heat and moisture resistance, and prevent the softening and displacement of the film in high temperature and high humidity environments. In addition, the interface adhesion with glass and cells is improved by introducing silane coupling agent to ensure that the structural integrity is maintained under wind and wave vibration loads. It has been verified by accelerated aging tests that after the modified EVA was maintained at 85 degrees Celsius and 85% humidity for 3,000 hours, the light transmittance attenuated by less than 5%, meeting the 25-year service life requirement of offshore photovoltaics and providing reliable packaging guarantee for the development of ocean clean energy.
