Application of photovoltaic EVA film in double glass module packaging

Photovoltaic EVA film is a key material for solar cell module packaging and plays an important role in the application of double-glass modules. Double-glass modules use a front and rear two-layer glass structure, which places higher requirements on the light transmittance, bonding strength and weather resistance of the packaging materials. As a hot-melt adhesive film, EVA film undergoes a cross-linking reaction during the heating lamination process to form a three-dimensional network structure, effectively bonding the battery cells and the glass substrate to ensure a solid overall structure of the module.

In the packaging of double-glass modules, the EVA film needs to provide excellent light transmittance to ensure photoelectric conversion efficiency, and at the same time have good resistance to moisture and heat aging and ultraviolet resistance. Since double-glass modules do not have traditional backsheet protection, the adhesive film also needs to have excellent waterproof vapor permeability to prevent the cells from being oxidized by moisture. In addition, the EVA film must have low shrinkage properties in double-glass modules to avoid cell displacement during the lamination process and ensure the structural stability of the module for long-term use.

In order to meet the service life requirement of more than 25 years for double-glass modules, the EVA film needs to have high volume resistivity to effectively suppress potential-induced attenuation and ensure the power generation stability of the module in a high-voltage environment. By optimizing the cross-linking degree and formula system, EVA film can provide reliable packaging protection for double-glass modules, improve the module's mechanical load resistance and environmental adaptability, and extend the power generation cycle of photovoltaic power stations.
