why is soundproof glass theoretically better than eva laminated glass?

why is soundproof glass theoreticallyeva laminated glass*okay, but all the insulating glass sold on the market is insulating glass. is it because the merchants don’t understand it, or is the theory wrong with practice?

theoretically, the sound insulation effect of laminated glass exceeds that of insulating glass. in fact, it exceeds that of insulating glass. laminated glass with three or more layers can surpass vacuum glass.

if you add a layer, the main function of insulating glass is thermal insulation. the low-e coating can insulate heat, but at most it can only insulate sound.

as far as data is concerned, laminated glass sound insulation can insulate 25-60db of noise, while generally hollow glass can only insulate 15db of noise.

the reason why insulating glass is generally sold on the market is that the cost is low and the hollowing process is very simple. in fact, the inside of the insulating glass is air and there is no inert gas. thread 4 aluminum strips between the two layers of glass, clamp them with clips, and then apply glue. it is very simple. you can do it yourself without having to find a glass factory. even if you find a glass factory, it will be very cheap because the process is very simple. delivery date is fast, usually 7-10 days.

laminated glass is more troublesome. it needs to be cleaned and dust-free in a dust-free workshop, and then the film is placed. three or four layers are stacked to see if the glass is stacked neatly. then, the high-temperature kettle and high-pressure hot melt are pushed in. be careful not to tilt the glass. the glass depends on the yield. partially the third and fourth layers may crack during the high temperature process, and the delivery date is generally 10-20 days.

the important point is that the glass grooves of broken bridge aluminum and aluminum alloys are too wide, too heavy if pure laminated glass is used, and the hollow ones are relatively light.

although i mainly use laminated glass, i actually want to use hollow ones. of course, for customers, it is best to use laminated glass.
